La Catrina

Mexican trademark created for the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages, especially mezcal and tequila. Our challenge was to develop a logo that would capture the spirit of the brand with reference to the already known Mexican “Catrina”, but avoiding the cliché. We were looking for a modern, lasting, colorful, but not overloaded appearance. An icon was created that will distinguish between all the existing catrinas. We made it possible by incorporating agaves as a crown, something not seen in representations of this character. Such feature, in turn, gave a fun and attractive personality to the female face.
